- The State Commission for Housing was
founded under the (dissolved) RCC decision No-39 dated 10/12/2001 under the
name (Housing Directorate).
- Its name was changed after 9/4/2004 into
State commission for Housing.
- The Commission aims at ensuring the
appropriate housing for all citizens, through setting and executing the
general policy of housing and undertaking the following:
- Suggesting the annual, and respective
and long-term plans for the state offices and socialist, mixed and
co-operative sectors in a way ensuring the execution of the projects.
- Supervising the execution of the
general housing projects set forth within housing annual plans ,through
the Ministry, State companies and the companies of the socialist, mixed
, co-operative and private sectors & foreign companies .
- Approval of housing projects offered
by the investors, State offices and socialist ,mixed ,co-operative and
private sectors, in addition to the contribution in suggesting the
legislations especially related to housing and activating the local
,Arab and foreign investment.
Capital:-
The State Commission for Housing is one of the central funding
offices which depends on the annual allocations entrusted to execute
its plans.
